Our story
While Shore Saves only began in 2021, our volunteers and Board members have been working with animals for decades. We saw the need for compassionate volunteers to save animals around the country - and so began the story of Shore Saves!

Our mission is to provide care, comfort, and compassion to animals in need while working to find them permanent, loving new homes and families.
Our volunteers
100% Volunteers! Based in Monmouth County, NJ, we work to save dogs from local and southern shelters where they would have otherwise been euthanized due to overcrowding.

Our mission is the primary driver behind the Shore Saves culture. We work together in respectful partnership with volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. We passionately champion a volunteer culture of belonging by making sure each member of the Shore Saves team feels valued. When you join Shore Saves, you can be as involved as you want to be. We have a Slack channel where we share stories and post photos from our recent shifts, share photos of our dogs who have been adopted living their best lives, and more.

Our Rescues Who Have Crossed The Rainbow Bridge
In loving memory of the dogs we have cared for who left us too soon. Their lives touched ours in special ways, and their legacies live on in the work we do. We are grateful for the time we shared with them and the love they brought into our lives.
