Our basket raffle (also known as a tricky tray, penny social, and/or brown bag auction) is the perfect combination of a silent auction and a traditional raffle.
If you'd like to participate in our basket raffle, you'll need to purchase raffle tickets separately at the event.
Upon entering the event, participants can buy as many basket tickets as they'd like. Basket raffle tickets are not available for pre-sale. After purchasing tickets on-site, you'll have 2 hours to scope out all available baskets and prizes.
Each basket will be displayed with a list of what's inside. Alongside each basket will be its corresponding container. As opposed to bidding like you would in a traditional auction, attendees will drop one or more tickets into the basket's container to increase your chance of winning it.
We'll make several announcements before closing the window for participants to drop tickets before we begin drawing one winning ticket per basket. The winner has to be present to claim their prize. We'll call each ticket three times; and if the winner does not identify themselves and show proof of their winning ticket, the ticket will be disqualified and we'll draw another ticket from the basket's container. Winners will walk out of the event with their items in hand!
